We received a lot of concerns and questions around whether or not cleansing is ideal amidst an ongoing pandemic. The answer is yes, this is a great time to cleanse for many reasons.
The Colorado Cleanse is in part a calorie restricted cleanse where many foods are restricted, and calories reduced. The results of calorie restriction are well studied and provide a powerful immune boost. We live longer, become stronger and have a much stronger immune system when we reduce our food and caloric intake. This happens naturally during the Colorado Cleanse. Here are some links to studies that have linked calorie restriction to enhanced immune function:
Ghee, which is a main ingredient of the Colorado Cleanse is the highest food source of butyric acid which is the #1 driver of gut immunity, primary food for the colon cells and a major prebiotic for the good gut bacteria that regulate gut immunity which is 70% of the body’s immune response. Here are some links on Butyric acid and Immunity.
Remember the Colorado Cleanse is not an endurance event. The more you strain by not eating enough, or taking too many herbs when your body is saying, “I am detoxing too fast” or taking too much ghee that you are not tolerating, you are only inhibiting the Colorado Cleanse from doing its job. We burn our fat and stored toxins in fat when we are calm! When we are stressed, we store fat and toxins.
Should I continue to take my immune support herbs while on the Colorado Cleanse (CC)?
Yes, continue to take what you need to boost your immunity as this is a priority. Then if swallowing so many pills becomes and issue than reduce the Colorado Cleanse herbs to once w the main meal a day. You will still get the benefits of the herbs because it is important that you finish all the bottles of the CC herbs.
